I research and teach the security of cloud systems and web applications, from cryptographic auditing schemes to hands‑on penetration‑testing labs, and help students, faculty and startups turn their inventions into filed patents.
About me
Securing systems, and the researchers who study them
I hold a Ph.D. in Information & Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, where my thesis improved the security and efficiency of cloud‑based Electronic Document Management Systems. Since then my work has moved between cloud data auditing, fog‑centric deduplication, IoT intrusion detection, and, most recently, application security and digital forensics in the classroom.
I currently teach at the Modern College of Business and Science in Muscat, Oman, after three years on the faculty of VIT‑AP University in India and five years as a full‑time research scholar and SERB fellow at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai. Alongside teaching, I am a Registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office (IN/PA: 3896) and have supported more than 1,000 inventors, students and startups through the patenting process.
My near‑term focus is building a research lab around Cyber‑Physical Systems and advanced cyber computing, while guiding Ph.D. and postgraduate scholars toward publishable, industry‑aligned outcomes.
